A Winter's Evening

Outside
The snow's crisp brilliance
Wind sculpted
Into chisel-sharp ridges
My once familiar world
An alien landscape

Inside
Shards of frozen moonlight
Fractured into jagged pieces
And scattered
Recklessly
On the floor
